The name is Tyler Cobb. I'm 26 years young, from Central Illinois and to say the very least, I am absolutely obsessed with watching, talking and writing about sports. After playing sports for most of life up until my senior year of high school, becoming a writer or broadcaster of some sorts has always been my number one goal when it comes to my future career. I have covered two local semi-pro teams in the past -- hockey and baseball -- and will also be hoping to use this current blog here as something to help me improve my writing -- as well as to get somewhat of a following too, if possible.
My favorite teams happen to be the St. Louis Cardinals (MLB), St. Louis Blues (NHL), Los Angeles Rams (NFL), Chicago Bulls (NBA) and the Missouri Tigers (NCAA Football and Basketball). While I will mainly be covering them teams for the most part, I will also be writing stories and articles on any and all sports and teams as well -- pretty much just whatever comes to mind and if the topic is something that I would like to write about. As well as all of the major sports that I have already mentioned though, from time to time, I will also put in some work on other sports such as the MMA/UFC, boxing and WTA/ATP tennis too. I will be writing game previews and recaps, league power rankings, team and player stories and articles and much more! Also, I plan to eventually start a weekly podcast in which I will cover everything in the wonderful world of sports at that time.
Just to give a little more information about me though, as you could probably guess from who my favorite teams happen to be, a few of my most hated teams are the: kansas Jay Hawks (never will I capitalize the K when spelling that place), Chicago Cubs, Seattle Seahawks and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite my hatred though, when covering sports and teams in general, I will always be as far away from bias as I can be. I have always been one to be very hard-headed when it comes to sports and my teams though, so always remember to keep that in mind as well.
